A pilot project to set up a collaborative virtual class to co-teach research methods to Master’s students

This innovative project was undertaken through the funding grant from the NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (NIHSS) & aimed at setting up teaching and research partnerships between the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and the University of Botswana (UB) by setting up a joint Virtual Classroom (VC).

This exciting project was received with much enthusiasm by the Deans of both UKZN (Professor E.Khalema) and UB (Dr P. Sebina) and it led to plans on developing a five year working partnership. The active involvement of the Information and Communication Services (ICS) teams from UB &. UKZN, lead to plans for designing an online training manual for UKZN and UB, with the possibility of introducing to other African Universities.Read more>>
